8 new exhibitions in the resident galleries of the CCA Winzavod

16 April 2024
On April 16, the Winery Center for Contemporary Art hosted a traditional Opening Day Evening, where 8 new exhibitions opened in the resident galleries:

XL Gallery presented Igor Samolet's personal exhibition "Tilt Angle". The project, consisting of a video work and an installation, was created in 2023 in Kakheti. Igor Samolet's installation consists of pockets through which the outlines of the boxes are visible to the light, the filling of the boxes is the ground for interpretation. The video work "Tilt Angle" is a recording of a performance in which Igor Airplane, using a canvas, evades the flow of water in search of balance in resistance. The exhibition will last until May 11.

pop/off/art gallery has opened a solo exhibition of the artist of the generation of the sixties Andrey Krasulin "Berlin Diary". The exhibition project became a visual embodiment of Andrey Krasulin's diary, which tells about moving from Moscow to Berlin in 2022. The exhibition includes 20 works created in 2023-2024, setting three thematic groups: samples of material, the introduction of text into canvases and spirals, a motif that Andrei Krasulin embodied in his text diaries. The exhibition will last until May 22.

a–s–t–r–a gallery presented the personal exhibition of the artist-in-residence of the gallery Kirill Koteshov "Kosmoopera". The project is a reflection on "other places", utopian spaces, which are embodied by Kirill Koteshov through the prism of imaginary architecture of the Russian avant-garde. The exhibition will run until May 26.

Totibadze Gallery has opened a personal exhibition of the artist Tanya Trunova "From Afar". Tanya Trunova is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Since 2015, Tanya Trunova has made creative trips to India and Georgia, and now the artist lives and works in Argentina. The exhibition will last until May 25.

FINEART Gallery presented Yuri Ulyashev's solo exhibition "Trash avant-garde". The exhibition is an artistic interpretation, an irony over the experience of the past, passed through the personal experience of Yuri Ulyashev.  The exhibition will run until April 28.

BIS ART Gallery opened Anastasia Shemyakina's solo exhibition "What color is blue?", in which Anastasia Shemyakina explored the emotional refraction of shades of blue in the optics of human relations.  The exhibition will run until April 30th.

The exhibition project of young artists from St. Petersburg Katya Veselovskaya and Alyona Petite "Iron Leda" curated by Peter Bely has opened in the VLADEY Space gallery. The title of the exhibition combines the term "Iron Lady" and the Greek myth of the beautiful Leda and refers to the power of women in art. The exhibition will last until May 25.

Triangle Gallery presented the solo debut exhibition of the artist Olesya Rubeko "Hide and Seek". Olesya Rubeko continues the line of the figurative direction of painting and develops a dimension between reality and dream. The exhibition will last until May 25.
