Art-Industry

The “Art Market” of Winzavod Contemporary Art Center is strategically aimed at supporting the art industry and its key players through the initiation of systemic and industry-unifying projects.

The direction includes the Association of Galleries (AGA) and the Contemporary Art Market WIN-WIN.

AGA unites 25 contemporary art galleries and was created to represent the interests of art market participants at the private, state and international levels. AGA is a member of the Federation of European Galleries Associations (FEAGA).

The “Association of Galleries” was created in 2020 on the initiative of Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art, as one of the key projects in the Art Market direction. Contemporary art galleries are behind many processes, for example, the transformation of cluster zones (former industrial production) into innovative cultural centers, the appearance of modern sculpture on the streets of cities, and the joint implementation of large-scale projects with state museums.

Contemporary Art Market WIN-WIN is a joint initiative of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art and the publishing house Format One, aimed at supporting the modern Russian art market.

This is an opportunity for independent artists and creative associations to present their work on an equal basis with galleries, foundations, and publishing houses. And for guests - get to know the authors personally, expand your collection or start it by purchasing works of art directly from the artists at affordable prices.

The Contemporary Art Market will take place from 2021. Over two years, more than 300 artists took part in the project (including Nika Chernyaeva, Ivan Simonov, Turben, Pasha Bumazhny, Masha Somik, and others), 47 galleries (such as a-s-t-r-a, VisualGap gallery, InGallery, Textura and others), 64 creative associations (including Etching, PARAZIT, SM21/22, CMYTA, BOLOTO and others), workshops, publications and foundations - more than 500 participants in total.

The project has become a popular platform for interaction and knowledge exchange between collectors, professional and aspiring artists, and those interested in contemporary art. During the existence of the market, more than 50,000 people visited it.
