OPENING DAY EVENING ON JUNE 3: new exhibitions in 11 galleries and a special project in the Open Studios of CCA Winzavod

04 June 2025
On June 3, the Opening Day Evening was held at the CCA Winzavod. 11 resident galleries presented new exhibitions. The Open studios presented two projects: a collective work by artists of the 12th season and a solo exhibition by Tamara Serdtseva. The pop/off/art Gallery presented the project "συμποίησις / sympoiesis" by the Greek artist Despina Flessa, exploring the category of the posthuman. The exhibition tells about symbiosis or sympoiesis— the synergetic interaction of heterogeneous life forms. XL Gallery has opened a collective exhibition project "If you look for a long time" by Anton Morokov, Artyom Filatov and Yakov Khorev. The artists turned to the visual nature of art — its visible properties and invisible qualities, the affects of visual experience and the critical reflections that follow them. Gallery 11.12 presented the personal exhibition "Dead Flower" by Marina Pchelyakova. The artist explores the way time and events are recorded, as well as the impossibility of doing so with material certainty. A dead flower is a symbol of the transience of the moment, which is difficult to catch and preserve in time. HSE ART GALLERY hosted the opening of the exhibition "Diploma25. Interfaces of the Present", the final project of Diploma25, created to support and represent young art in Moscow and beyond. The presented works are diploma projects of graduates of the HSE School of Design, which have been implemented and shown at venues in Moscow and beyond. Gallery a—s—t—r—a presented the PARANORMAL PHENOMENON project by artist Dishon Yuldash. The project refers to the modern space of Southeast Asian cities, where the artist has been living and working in recent years, building a critical field around issues of control and subordination. The exhibition "Error Message" by Konstantin Ajer has opened in the PENNLAB gallery. The artist's project is the result of meditative contemplation of digital errors and careful extraction of traces of glitch from artifacts of streaming videos. The selected fragments are scaled and materialized by the author into the "familiar picture format". FUTURO Gallery together with the gallery_____gallery project presented the exhibition I AM YOURS by artist VITALY. The Triangle Gallery presented the solo exhibition "The Measure of Gravity" by Katerina Kovaleva. The concept of the site specific installation is based on the paradox of combining the lightness of parachute material, symbolizing the firmament, with the idea of eternal gravity, gravity, without which life is impossible. Denis Rusakov's Cinema verite exhibition has opened in the Totibadze Gallery. The project is inspired by the Cinéma Vérité genre, introduced by the French philosopher Edgar Morin. Denis Rusakov, following the principles of the film genre, creates a series of works without a strict concept, documenting both external and internal reality. BIS ART GALLERY has launched the collective project "Magic of Everyday Life", exploring the neo-romantic turn in modern culture. The artists of the exhibition invite the viewer to stop and look at the world more closely in order to discern the magic of everyday life. FINEART GALLERY presented the exhibition "Enchantments of the Mad World" by Alexander Savko. In his project, the artist continues to work with copying famous works of pop culture and reassembling their meanings into a modern and radically changed environment. The collective work of Total acceptance, created by the residents of the 12th season, is presented in the Open Studios of the Winery. This is an artistic experiment in which each participant comprehended not only their own contribution, but also the ways of interaction within the group — through dialogue, arguments, mutual additions and the search for a common language. Also, from June 4 to June 15, in the Open Studios, on the second floor, there is a personal exhibition of Tamara Serdtseva, a resident of the 12th season, "A Series with a Hare". The exhibition is both a practice, a game with the perception of time and a study of movement.
