HSE CCA Winzavod School of Design: online meeting with academic mentors of the educational program

15 August 2024
The HSE Schools of Design and the CCA Winzavod have announced the launch of a joint professional retraining program "Management and PR in the Art Industry." Classes will start in October this year. This means that now is the time to decide who you want to become: an art manager or a communications specialist in the art industry. Meetings with the academic mentors of the program, Sofya Trotsenko, Irina Saminskaya and Pierre—Christian Brochet, will help in making a decision. The first of them will be held online on August 21 at 19:00. The course was developed in collaboration with leading partner institutions and experts to improve the skills of professionals in the art industry. During the training, participants will learn the latest management and communication approaches in cultural projects in the field of contemporary art. When applying for the program, you must choose one of the tracks: "Art Management" or "Modern communications in the art industry". Sofya Trotsenko commented on the launch of the new program: "In an ideal world, our team consists of highly professional employees who are able to distinguish Kabakov's work from Pivovarov's, who are able to assemble and launch an exhibition project within the stated time frame and who can at least write and count well. But in the real world, everyone has different starting competencies, level of knowledge, experience, and involvement in the art industry. The main criterion by which we recruit people to the team is motivation to work with contemporary art. The program “Management and PR in the art industry” improves the professional level of all specialists, taking into account the demands of the modern industry, gives an understanding of how and by whom you can work in the art industry, how to be as effective as possible, and what career paths you have. A universal multitask set that allows you to select keys for different tasks. The program that I personally missed at the start, and which is now available to you." Classes will be held face—to-face three times a week in the classrooms of the HSE School of Design, as well as on the territory of the partners: in the Central Research Institute of Winzavod, galleries and museums - potential employers of the program participants. The final work of the course will be an implemented institutional project, as well as its public defense. You can learn more about the program's features, admission paths, and the specifics of each track on the course page or at the Open House. An online meeting with mentors will take place on August 21 at 19:00. To join it, please register.
