Yandex Museum Festival at CCA Winzavod on September 27 and 28

17 September 2025
Yandex Museum will host the seventh annual festival about people and technologies On September 27 and 28, Yandex Museum will host the seventh annual festival about people and technologies. The program is suitable for adults and children: there will be lectures by engineers and artists, workshops, quests and quizzes, interactive booths, a rover race, video game tournaments and a zone with retro arcade machines. Each location consists of three thematic blocks: retro, technological art and Yandex. In the expo zone, you can receive a compliment from a Smart camera, play a game from Yandex Education, or arrange a race of delivery robots. For those who like to practice, there is a workshop for "Beauty Menders" — here they will teach soldering and give technology a second life. There will also be a place for nostalgia: the Vidachestvo project will show rare televisions and equipment of the XX century. The Polytechnic Museum will give you a look inside microchips and lamps using microscopes and even assemble an electrical circuit. The guests will also enjoy the works of the Birch Industry art association and an aquarium with a robot fish - it is almost indistinguishable from the real one. "The Yandex Museum Festival grew out of the Demodulation event. This year we have updated the format: if earlier the central themes were inventions of the past, now the program will focus on technologies that penetrate into all spheres of life. A lecture hall about science and Art&Science has been added to the historical stands, as well as interactive areas of Yandex services, leading universities and museums with which we are friends," says Natalia Novikova, director of the Yandex Museum. A special part of the festival is the lecture hall. On the main stage, they will tell about the light and musical experiences of the past, which became the forerunners of media art. Stories ranging from Scriabin's "light symphony" to Zorin's Optical Theater will show how artists and engineers a hundred years ago were looking for answers to questions that VR and generative design are solving today. Workshops will be held for children. For example, in the Atelier of the Future, you can draw your own outfit, and artificial intelligence will immediately turn it into a 3D model on a virtual podium. The lesson "Modern lighting technologies" will teach you how to assemble circuits from light bulbs. And at the "Control the Robot!" workshop, everyone will try themselves as a developer and complete missions with a delivery rover. Indie musicians will also perform at the event. At the festival, you will also be able to buy Yandex merchandise and visit the stands of the project's partners: the Museum of Cryptography, Robostation, Pinball Museum, Museum of the History of the Telephone, leading universities of the country (ITMO and HSE) and others. The Yandex Museum Festival will be held in Moscow at the Winzavod Central Art Center: 1/8 4th Syromyatnicheskiy Lane, building 8, entrance 14. Admission is free, but you must first register on the website.
