The market of the author's photobook FOTOBOOKMARKET will be held for the fifth time. The key event of the fifth season will be the exhibition of the nominees for the FOTOBOOKMARKET DUMMY AWARD 2021 competition and the awarding of its winners.
More than a hundred photographers from Russia took part in the competition, presenting photobooks and photozines to the jury. The jury of the competition includes photo editors, publishers, curators, art critics, teachers, designers, photographers, artists: Elena Ishchenko, curator of the Center for Contemporary Art "Typography"; art critic and photography historian Irina Tolkacheva; Ekaterina Bogachevskaya, Head of the Academy of Photography; photo critic Olga Bubich; Vladimir Semyonov, editor-in-chief of the "Print Gallery"; Margo Ovcharenko, photographer, teacher of the Rodchenko School and others.
The winners of the FOTOBOOKMARKET DUMMY AWARD 2021 will be announced in two nominations: Best Photobook and Best Photozine. The winners get the opportunity to print the book and zine.
Traditionally, market participants present novelties and bestsellers of the Russian author's photobooks, as well as author's edition photography and graphics. These are works in different genres and price ranges: from classics to contemporary art, from an artist's book, a unique handmade edition, to copyrighted author's photo books, zines and prints. Also on sale will be books on theory, history and practice of photography.
