The pop/off/art gallery presents a group exhibition "Under Pressure", which will bring together the works of ten authors, both contemporary artists of mostly young generation and classics of neomodernism. The project will be curated by Svetlana Baskova in a dialogue with critic Yegor Sofronov.

"Created under pressure in the metaphor of the trace left by a pencil on paper, the works and series - maps, graphics, narratives, markups and signals - are organized in accordance. Not being thematic, these coincidences, the pandanas of the curatorial vision manifest the intertwining of the political and aesthetic," comments Yegor Sofronov.

The curators' field of vision is not limited to the formal understanding of graphics as a technique on paper or cardboard. Opening new sides of this media, Svetlana Baskova and Yegor Sofronov reflect on the relationship between the technique chosen by the authors and the plot of the work. One of the goals of the project is to show the experiments of new artists, whose works are inspired by the desire to outline the current time.

Artists: Anna Afonina, Alexander Gorelikov, Yury Zlotnikov, Elena Zubtsova, Ksenia Kudrina, Angelina Merenkova, Ivan Novikov, Anatoly Osmolovsky, Alexander Pankin, Anna Tereshkina.

Svetlana Baskova is a film director, scriptwriter, artist, director of the Institute of Contemporary Art Baza (since 2011) and head of the Laboratory of Art Criticism organized by the Fund for Support of Contemporary Art Winzavod together with the Institute Baza. In 1989, she graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute. Since 1996, she has been involved in video and cinema. Yegor Sofronov is an art critic and editor of the Art magazine. Graduated from the Master's degree in Art Criticism and Literature at the School of Fine Arts, New York (2014). Co-organizer of the Laboratory of Art Criticism.
