My Choice

As part of the Biennale of Private Collections, 11.12 GALLERY will present an exhibition based on one, but significant for the gallery, collection of works. This is the collection of the gallery's founder, Alexander Sharov. The exhibition will include works purchased from 2005 to 2025, clearly demonstrating the change in the owner's tastes and interests. All the artists here are gallery artists. After all, Alexander Sharov's main principle is that an artist will get into the gallery only if its owner wants the author's works for his collection.

The viewer will meet such names as Maxim Bashev, Ekaterina Zhadina, Petr Bronfin — artists whose work has entered the history of 11.12 GALLERY, but whose further creative searches took them beyond the boundaries of our institution. A separate gift to the viewer will be the early works of the gallery's current artists - Vladimir Marin, Rinat Voligamsi, Alexey Alpatov and Damir Muratov.

Thus, we will show not just a private collection, but a visual embodiment of the history of 11.12 GALLERY: from the beginning to the present day.
