ARTIS GALLERY presents the exhibition “Another Forest”, the participants of which are young artists Anton and Alexey Tvorogovy, Georgy Tochechnik, Fedora Akimova and Ivan Khryashchikov transfer the viewer to the atmosphere of a sorcerous surrealistic forest, embodied in a new unusual form. Fedora Akimova continues the series of mystical works “The Forest”, in which the blurred landscapes of the middle zone are populated with unusual forest creatures embroidered on canvas. Fedor is one of the few in Russia who uses similar equipment. Gosha Potochnik shows works where the mythology of the artist’s creative world responds to the depths of the unconscious, expressed in the form of mysterious tropical forests. The forest in the new series of works by the Tvorogov brothers is saturated with flowers, attracting a fantastic kingdom that exists according to its own magical laws. Artist Ivan Khryashchikov represents real caramel plants, which embody his vision of bizarre forest flora. Artists ARTIS GALLERY express their vision of the forest as a special space located on the border of the real and illusory world, ordinary and mysterious, everyday and fantastic. Spokon century artists wrote the forest and everything connected with it. Every time a new way opened their eyes to this topic, gave new colors and new meanings. Century secrets of nature, a sense of primordialness and at the same time infinity, mystery and magic, a sense of epic past and, as if on a time machine, its transformation into the distant future - all this is reflected to some extent in the works presented at the exhibition “Another Forest”.
